Lyrics to the new songs on "Adios" by Audio Adrenaline

Even though I really did not follow Audio Adrenaline until fairly recently (since "Worldwide"), I am sad to see them breaking up. I actually prefer their newer sound to their "Bloom/Zombie" years, but they have been a very influential band in the Christian music scene for a long time. Somehow, however, I do not think we have seen the last of Tyler Burkum, Mark Stuart, Will McGinniss and Ben Cissell. They may stop being AudioA as a band, but I bet they will still be a presence in the Christian music scene.

Here I have the lyrics to the three new songs. I just received the CD/DVD in the mail July 31 (autographed from www.musichristian.com) and I checked the liner notes to make sure I had them correct.

4. Goodbye

You'll be fine tomorrow
The sun will rise again
It's never easy to say goodbye
You know I'll always love you
You know I always will

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
My old friend (my old friend)
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
We've reached the end (we've reached the end)

I don't cry with sorrow, I cry with joy
The memories we made can't be destroyed
You know I won't forget you
You know I never could
And when I said I loved you
You know I meant for good

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
My old friend (my old friend)
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
We've reached the end (we've reached the end)

You know I'll always love you
Goodbye

12. Blaze of Glory

(originally recorded by The Alarm)

It is funny how they shoot you down
When your hands are held up high
And you open up your heart and soul
But that's not enough for most, no!

I remember this much
There is nothing
You shouldn't speak of
When you've got something to say

Going out in a blaze of glory
My heart is open wide
You can take anything that you want from me
There is nothing left to hide
Oh, no!

The law of the jungle says
You look after yourself
But I remember this much
I love as I've been loved myself
Don't forget what I told you now
When the question keeps on coming
And it's "How much more can you take"
When they've ripped your clothes to pieces
but you keep on...

Going out in a blaze of glory
Setting your sights for the sky.
They can offer you anything at all
But your dreams must not be sold.

Going out in a blaze of glory
No price is high enough
I'm fighting back with feeling
I'm fighting back with love

And the nails are hammered into
your hands nad the cross is heavy
Keep on
Don't you know that it's time
to make a stand
It's time to make a stand

Going out in a blaze of glory
My heart is open wide
You can take anything that you want from me
There's nothing left to hide

Oh, Going out in a blaze of glory
My hands are held up high
I'm learning how to hit back
Yes I'm learning how to fight

Going out in a blaze of glory

18. BONUS TRACK: Down in the Lowlands

(originally written/performed by Charlie Peacock)

The water is up to my neck
I am sinking in the deep
There is no foothold anymore
I'm very worn out from calling for help
My throat is hoarse and dry as a bone
My eyes have failed me from looking for you
Are you looking for me?

I'm down in the lowlands where the water is deep
Hear my cry, hear my shout, save me, save me

Could this be it, could I be drowing?
Have I faile to be heard by the One
Who can save me now?
My eyes have failed me from looking for you
Are you lookin for me?

'Cause I'm down in the lowlands where the water is deep
Hear my cry, hear my shout, save me, save me
