St. Louis County School District Tax Rate Calculator
December 2011 version


I made this calculator specifically to compare the 2011 and proposed 2012 tax rates for the Ladue School District, but I added most of our neighboring districts as well with their 2010 and 2011 numbers. Other area districts hiked their rates up substantially from 2010 to 2011, and it looks like it is our turn for 2011 to 2012 (if Proposition 1 passes). The Ladue School District has its own calculator, but mine lets you compare our rates to other nearby districts. Here you can select your district and your appraised value (you can find it on the St. Louis County website for any address), and I can calculate how much you are paying your district for 2010 and 2011 (or 2011 and 2012 for Ladue.) I also compare your appraised value with the median value for your district and see how much the median household would see as an increase. Yes, you can see how much your friends and neighbors are paying for their school property taxes too!
